One of the largest firms in Liechtenstein, Dr Dr Batliner & Dr Gasser has an excellent reputation in the market, representing international and domestic companies in a range of corporate and M&A work. The team reports an increase in internet-related work, with several members of the team now specialising in cyber-law. Trust company First Advisory Group supports the firm’s fiduciary and asset planning work.

Founded in 2002, Batliner Wanger Batliner Rechtsanwälte AG has quickly made an impression on the market. The team, headed by Martin Batliner and Christian Batliner, provides general corporate advice as well as representing clients in capital market matters and M&A transactions. The four-partner firm has become increasingly involved with foundation law and fiduciary work.

The oldest law firm in Liechtenstein and also one of the largest, Marxer & Partner Attorneys-at-Law has a wealth of experience and provides a comprehensive service to its international and domestic clients across an array of corporate matters. The foundation and ongoing management of companies and trusts in Liechtenstein is among its areas of expertise.

Walch & Schurti enjoys a solid reputation as a market leader in corporate and M&A work, and the firm represents multinational enterprises and high-net-worth individuals active both domestically and internationally. The firm has strong international links, and senior partners Ernst J. Walch and Andreas Schurti are admitted in both Liechtenstein and New York. A close association with trust company, Walpart Trust, bolsters the firm’s services.

Batliner & Konrad Rechtsanwälte advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters and is, by common consent, the ‘go-to’ firm for administrative law advice.

Newcomer advocatio Rechtsanwälte Grabher Schallert Dür provides an ‘excellent’ service to its largely international (particularly Russian and Eastern European) client base. The firm prides itself on its independence from trust companies, and has continued to gain traction in the market. The ‘very skilled’ Johannes Schallert is praised for his ‘exceptional knowledge of Russia and the Ukraine’, and the ‘young and dynamic’ Johannes Dür has ‘deep knowledge in various business areas’.

Müller & Partner Rechtsanwälte has an excellent reputation in the market, providing a mix of international and domestic clients with advice across the board. Work includes advising on the establishment of corporations, foundations and trust companies in Liechtenstein as well as international M&A deals. The six-partner firm is also highly regarded for its litigation work.

The ‘experienced’ Markus Wanger is Wanger Advokaturbüro’s principal practitioner and provides a comprehensive range of commercial services to a primarily international client base. With significant expertise in IP and arbitration (Wanger is an arbitrator for the Court of Arbitration for Sport), the firm also deals with general corporate and trust work. Highlights included advising on the complete restructuring of a large international company.

Wolff Gstoehl Bruckschweiger has made a considerable impression on the market since its formation in 2004. Founding partner Peter Wolff enjoys an excellent reputation as a litigator, and Christoph Bruckschweiger, formerly of Ritter & Wohlwend Rechtsanwälte AG, is also well regarded. The firm represents clients across company, foundation and trust law matters.

Lampert & Schächle Attorneys at Law Ltd’s expertise lies in business and company law. The firm acts as general counsel to Liechtenstein Telecom, and receives a good flow of international referrals for commercial and M&A matters. The team has niche expertise in white-collar crime, and is the only Liechtenstein member of ICC FraudNet.

Seeger, Frick & Partner advises both international and domestic clients across the spectrum of Liechtenstein law including company and commercial matters, and is a member of the Geneva Group International alliance.

The team at Sele Frommelt & Partner, headed by Veit Frommelt, advises on various matters including the establishment of companies, foundations and trusts, and M&A transactions. The firm works closely with associated trust company Negele Sele Frommelt & Partner.

Law Office Harry Gstöhl & Partner provides general corporate and commercial services to its clients. Founded in 1977, and a co-founder and member of International Lawyers Network, the firm has a strong litigation practice with notable expertise in criminal law.

Austrian firm Hauser Partners’ Vaduz branch focuses on corporate law and arbitration, and handles a good volume of cross-border M&A work. The firm concentrates on international (mainly Austrian) clients, and does not have a significant local presence.

Law Office Holzhacker has a good reputation in the market. Sole practitioner Gerhard Holzhacker advises across an array of areas, with particular expertise in litigation and insolvency.

Two-partner firm Kaiser & Kaiser represents clients across a range of practice areas, with expertise in commercial and foundation law. An associated trust company (Fiduciana Verwaltungsanstalt) and a separate asset management company, support the firm’s work.

As well as representing clients before the Liechtenstein courts, Advokaturbüro Dr jur et lic oec Norbert Seeger handles general corporate and commercial law work, and is affiliated with trust company ArComm.

Schaan-based firm Ospelt & Partner Rechtsanwälte AG advises clients across a range of Austrian, Swiss and Liechtenstein law matters, including business, commercial and European law. The firm works closely with trust company Legacon, and global accounting network Crowe Horwath International.

Ritter & Beck Rechtsanwälte’s corporate work includes the formation and management of domestic and foreign companies, and the firm has a strong reputation for trust work.

Founded in 1978, Ritter & Wohlwend Rechtsanwälte AG has a good reputation in the market and focuses on corporate law and litigation. The four-partner firm benefits from its membership of the TerraLex legal network.

Established in 1991, Advocatur Sprenger & Partner AG is well regarded in Liechtenstein. Though relatively small, the firm draws upon its affiliated trust and asset management companies and is recognised for its fiduciary work.
