The ‘responsive and business-oriented’ corporate department at Goldfarb Seligman & Co. has decades of experience acting for start-ups in fields ranging from autonomous driving to medicinal marijuana. Corporate and securities head Ashok Chandrasekhar acts for Israeli tech companies, foreign multinational acquirers and investment funds. Sharon Gazit heads the tech group and Michael Heller is also recommended.

With a Silicon Valley representative office and an increasingly active China-facing practice, Herzog Fox & Neeman focuses on advising global tech companies and private equity funds on transactions in Israel. Daniella Ben Shalom advised MeMed on a development contract with the US Department of Defense.

Shibolet & Co. with Raved, Magriso, Benkel & Co. is ‘one of the best options for venture capital and entrepreneurial hi-tech work in Israel’. Lior Aviram’s team acts for some of China’s most notable tech acquirers and has established multinational development JVs involving promising technologies such as autonomous driving. Led by Roy Caner, Erdinast, Ben Nathan, Toledano & Co provides ‘rapid, innovative and sophisticated business solutions’ to a variety of foreign and domestic funds and angel investors. Additionally, Lior Oren assisted Co-Energy, an innovative waste-to-fuel company, with a NIS50m JV agreement with a leading Israeli energy company.

In terms of quality of service’, Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co is ‘comparable to the very best in the market’. The department acts for VC investors and early- to late-stage companies, particularly in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The recommended Eran Yaniv and Raz Tepper typically work with Israeli entrepreneurs.

A truly outstanding full-service firm’, M. Firon & Co Advocates and Notaries advises foreign and domestic corporates and has an active VC fund practice. In the eyes of its clients, Tadmor & Co. Yuval Levy & Co.’s service is ‘way above industry standard across every metric’. Acting primarily for early- to mid-stage start-ups, Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz has ‘elite industry knowledge’ of the biotech, life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. Guy Lachmann is highly recommended; Yael Baratz and Atir Jaffe advise clients such as SAIPS and CytoReason.

Raz, Dlugin & Co. Law Offices is among ‘the top boutique firms operating in Israel’s hi-tech space’. Led by Ran Dlugin and Rafi Raz, the firm has assisted Playtika with all of its legal needs since its foundation.

S. Horowitz & Co is ‘highly recommended’ by tech companies and investors and is especially active in the medical and defence sectors. Led by Mordehay Malca, the team advises iAngels Crowd, a crowdfunding platform that connects investors to Israeli start-ups. Associate Miriam Zaltsman is also recommended.

The ‘extremely responsive and sophisticated’ team at Shenhav & Co., Advocates & Notary advises Israeli companies and foreign investors on financing rounds. Amir Raz is known for devising ‘creative solutions for deadlock situations’. Ayal Shenhav and Shmulik Atias are key contacts.

Although Tulchinsky Stern Marciano Cohen Levitski & Co. specialises in acting for start-ups in the biotech and life sciences sectors, the team provides corporate and licensing advice to early-stage companies in a variety of industries. ‘Calm, commercial and creative’, Daniel Chinn handles venture rounds for Nexar and Lemonade.

Zysman, Aharoni, Gayer & Co (ZAG-S&W)’s hi-tech department advises Israeli start-ups on venture rounds with domestic and international investors. The team includes founding partner Shmulik Zysman, tech and internet specialist Mor Limanovich and securities practitioner Eran Ben-Dor.

Working in conjunction with major international firms, Barnea is involved in cross-border corporate matters for mid- to late-stage start-ups and also advises investors and early-stage Israeli companies. Michael Barnea is the primary contact.

Epstein Rosenblum Maoz (ERM) primarily acts for European and Asian investors in financing, JV and M&A transactions with Israeli start-ups. Natalie Noy advised the founders of Fireglass on its $250m acquisition by Symantec.

The team at Glusman & Co. has assisted numerous fintech, medical device and online gaming start-ups in venture rounds and M&A transactions. Noam Gavish heads the group, which has capabilities in corporate securities and IP.
