The maritime and transport practice at Lex Law Offices is headed by the highly regarded Lilja Jónasdóttir, who was assisted by senior associate Gudrún Lilja Sigurdardottir in successfully representing Codan Forsikring and the owners of the grounded vessel Green Freezer in proceedings before the District Court of Reykjavík. Eyvindur Sólnes, who has prior experience in the sale and purchase of fishing vessels and joined the practice from his own firm, advised fishing company Bergur-Huginn on contract and project finance issues. Key clients also include Naveco, Samskip and Jónar Transport.

The highly experienced team at LOGOS provides legal services in the shipping and transportation sector for high-profile clients including the Icelandic Coast Guard and VÍS Insurance. Practice co-head Einar Baldvin Axelsson is leading the group in defending shipping company Eimskipafélag Íslands against cargo claims regarding the loss of frozen fish during carriage. Specialising in aviation law and aircraft finance, co-head Erlendur Gíslason is another key contact and represented Icelandair and Loftleiðir Icelandic in multiple complex matters.

Led by by practice head Guðmundur Siemsen, ADVEL Attorneys at Law's maritime and transport department advises major clients such as public bus company Strætó bs.

Juris' team acts for large fishing corporation Ísfélag Vestmannaeyja on its domestic and international operations, which included representing the client in a claim against the Icelandic government regarding the distribution of mackerel quotas. Finnur Magnússon and Sigurbjörn Magnússon are key figures and jointly assist Iceland's largest exporter of cod liver oil Lýsi with all legal matters pertaining to its expansion overseas and general business operation issues. Associate Bjarni Aðalgeirsson is also noted.
