Advising a number of banking institutions on the implementation of various directives has also kept the firm busy, along with referral work from blue-chip UK law firms. Karl Tonna has joined the team from Hassans and spends a considerable amount of time practising in this area. Managing partner Christian Rocca is also part of the team.

Triay & Triay has been working on creative and innovative financing structures in light of the banks’ lending constraints in order to raise money for clients’ investment projects. The firm has acted on the establishment of various significant funds, and is increasingly involved with other financial services matters. Senior partner Javier Triay, Joseph E Triay Jnr and Robert Vasquez have considerable experience in this area, and associates Charles Melvin and Alan Buchanan are also part of the team.

Triay Stagnetto Neish’s Guy Stagnetto is active in this area. The firm works on both local and international finance matters in the insurance, funds and financial services markets. With repeat instructions from major local banks, clients also include private and retail banks, asset management companies and fund management companies.

Attias & Levy’s banking and finance practice is focused on property investment and trust management for banks. New associate Tim Hillman is assisting the firm in its goal to grow its funds practice.

Massias & Partners works for international banking and finance institutions, with areas of focus including debt restructuring and the securing of alternative financing sources. Isaac Massias is ‘very competent’.
