Belluzzo & Associati has a growing London team, and has been active advising on changes to Italy’s tax law, and their impact on UK clients. It also assists London banks and their clients on immigration and estate planning. New clients include start-up businesses in the retail, hospitality and finance sectors.

Bonelli Erede Pappalardo’s London office has broad finance and corporate expertise. The team has recently handled the finance aspects of three high yield transactions, and assisted on major restructuring matters in Italy. Blackstone is a client. Andrea Carta Mantiglia was appointed as London office head in March 2012, leading a 15-strong team.

Chiomenti Studio Legale’s London team provides English and Italian law advice in corporate, banking and finance matters, working closely with the firm’s eight other European, Asian and US offices, comprising a network of some 270 lawyers and tax advisers. New London office head Massimiliano Nitti moved from the Milan office, and international finance expert Michael Benster joined from Olswang in 2011. Christopher John Aelred Mullen specialises in corporate and capital markets work.

Raimondo Premonte moved to Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners’ London office from Rome, to head a new corporate finance department. Office head Marco Zaccagnini specialises in capital markets work. Premonte and Zaccagnini are supported by six associates.

The London office of specialist tax firm Maisto e Associati advises on Italian and international tax planning in complex transactions. Clients include multinational companies in the manufacturing, telecoms and financial services sectors, along with financial institutions and private equity firms.

NCTM LLP advises on a range of Italian law matters, with particular expertise in tax, M&A and dispute resolution. Anthony Perotto leads a team of eight, including four other partners.

Rapisardi Intellectual Property specialises in trade mark, patents, design rights, domain names and copyright, with a network of lawyers and patent and trade mark attorneys across its Milan, Lugano and London offices providing an integrated service. The London team supports the head office in Milan in assisting Italian clients with business interests in the UK. It is increasingly focusing on protecting clients’ existing IP and developing anti-counterfeiting strategies.

Studio Legale Sutti has a network of European and Asian offices handling contentious and non-contentious matters. The London team advises UK law firms, patent and trade mark agents, and in-house lawyers on Italian law. Livia Oglio heads the team.
