Browne Jacobson LLP has a strong public sector focus and acts for high-profile private sector clients as well as central government agencies such as the Crown Commercial Service, the Ministry of Justice and NHS England, and local authorities. Led by practice head Craig Elder, a cross-disciplinary team composed of construction, property, employment and pensions specialists recently advised a county council on a regional procurement process. Peter Ware, the head of the government and infrastructure department, is also recommended.

Prospect Law Ltd focuses on energy and infrastructure work, both contentious and non-contentious. As part of a multi-disciplinary practice that also includes electrical engineers, surveyors and other sector-relevant professionals, the team is uniquely placed to take on a busy nuclear market caseload, including the operation and decommissioning of sites, in addition to shouldering the stream of renewable energy instructions, chief among which the appointment as standing adviser to a Middle Eastern government entity. Barrister Edmund Robb and regulatory specialist Edward de la Billiere, who splits his time between the East Midlands and London, are the main contacts. Other clients include Low Level Waste Repository, Envirofusion and Brooke Energy.

Led by London practice head Robert Pitcher, Eversheds Sutherland  focuses on the energy, transport and social infrastructure sectors, with a strong track record in private partnership projects. Jon Cox-Brown is now the main contact since associate Sophie Leadley  joined Eversheds Sutherland Agile  as a consultant.

Nelsons Solicitors Limited's mainstays are commercial contract and commercial property work, with recently promoted partner Harpreet Sandhu and Martin Jinks the key practitioners. Recent work includes advice in relation to the operation of power plants, transactional work, and a significant number of litigation instructions.
