Johan Schlüter handles entertainment work, and is president of the International Video Federation, and Katrine Schierbeck specialises in film financing and distribution. Lars Hallgreen is a sports law expert, who advises the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF), and handles sports-related disputes and arbitrations.

They successfully represented TV 2 in a test case regarding music in television programme trailers and successfully represented DR in a Supreme Court preliminary injunction case concerning hidden cameras.

Horten Law Firm’s practice head Nina Henningsen is advising global online gaming companies Betsson, Betfair and IGT following the liberalisation of the Danish gaming market, as well as newly licensed online gaming businesses. Henningsen also advises radio and TV stations on online distribution and broadcasting across all platforms. Heidi Steen Jensen is advising FDIM (The Association of Danish Interactive Media) on e-commerce and data protection. Jens Jakob Bugge’s clients include Sparta Athletics Club, and Hans Abildstrøm advises on computer gaming. Søren Christian Søborg Andersen joined from Norrbom Vinding.

Kromann Reumert’s practice head Martin Dahl Pedersen is representing the Danish Association of Newspapers (DDF) against Infopaq in Danish Supreme Court and ECJ cases regarding the electronic scanning of newspaper articles. The team also won a case for music publisher Per Meistrup in the first Danish infringement litigation regarding use of sampling in music and successfully represented Nordisk Film in a case against a film production company.

Nielsen Nørager’s Ole Finn Nielsen represents clients in the movie, theatre and television industries.

Plesner represents film distributors, cinemas and film production companies, as well as computer, music, press and sports industry clients. Michael Vilhelm Nielsen is representing Chappell Music Denmark in breach of contract disputes. Together with Per Håkon Schmidt and Michael Hopp, Nielsen also successfully represented Nordisk Copyright Bureau in a pilot case before the ECJ instituted by DR and TV 2. Hopp also advises computer games developer IO Interactive. Gitte Holtsø is representing DR and TV 2 and their jointly owned company, Broadcast Service Denmark, before the Danish Competition Authority.

Bruun & Hjejle’s Henrik Dahl, Morten Stadil and Erik Kjær-Hansen assist Danish newspapers and TV stations, notably TV 2, with defamation and privacy cases, complaints to the Danish Press Council, IP rights, and marketing matters. Clients include the Berlingske Group (part of Mecom Media Group) and TV 2|Danmark, as well as Børsen regarding its daily business newspaper.

LETT Law Firm P/S advises sports clubs and entertainment companies. Susanne Mark’s clients include the Danish Cable Television Association; Peter Rønnow represents musicians including Nephew and singer-songwriter Tina Dickow; Jens Krogh Petersen represents Volbeat, rap-star L.O.C. and EMI Music Denmark; and Joachim Kundert Jensen represents Koncern Film. The practice lost its Kolding-based team, but was reinforced by the recruitment of Petersen and Jensen from Lind Cadovius.

MAQS Law Firm’s Jeppe Brogaard Clausen and Anders Torbøl advise on film and TV production and financing, and also represented Ecobaby, manufacturer of the Natursutten childrens’ pacifier, against the publisher of weekly paper, Søndagsavisen. Clausen and Kåre Wanscher assisted Maya Entertainment with obtaining a discovery order against three internet service providers to provide information about copyright infringers.

Jeppe Brinck-Jensen heads the media 
and entertainment group at Accura Advokatpartnerselskab, which advises various TV production companies and newspapers, and assists Egmont Magasiner with publishing agreements.

Delacour Dania Law Firm’s Asger Heine Jensen represents various computer games developers and also acts for Dam Things Holding, owner of the Good Luck Troll.

Gorrissen Federspiel’s Lasse Søndergaard Christensen is representing the Danish Chamber of Commerce in a dispute concerning the MPEG4 broadcasting standard. Janne Glæsel successfully defended Warner Bros and Shadowdark in an injunction case involving the Tim Burton film Dark Shadows. Martin Dittmer advised the Danish Football League and Danish football clubs on media rights to broadcast football matches, and also acts for Boxer TV. Clients also appreciate Jesper Madsen and Dan Bjerg Geary for their ‘in-depth knowledge and experience of gaming’.

Knop & Co Advokater’s media litigator Nikolaj Linneballe advises a range of entertainment industry clients, and recently obtained an injunction on behalf of the Danish Dee Jay Awards. Creative agency Montdor is a new client.

Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen, which was a founding member of the Danish Gaming Association, has particular prominence in the online gaming sector. Claus Molbech Bendtsen and Maria Thomsen, who is singled out for her ‘helpfulness and business acumen’, assisted Paddypower, TipiCo, iGame and Sportsgaming in obtaining the first gambling licences in Denmark. Pernille Nørkær represents Parken Sport & Entertainment, and Nørkær and Mattias Nielsen also advise FC Copenhagen and FC Nordsjælland on player transfers. Media clients include Bonnier, Egmont and North Media. Clients recommend the team for its ‘responsiveness, knowledge and service’.
