Andonov & Radinska Law Firm’s ‘international standard’ team handles significant commercial and residential development projects. The firm advised Galeria Varna on the preparation, negotiations and execution of its €110m mall construction project. Andrey Delchev and Partners - Eurolex Bulgaria is ‘a leading local firm’ for construction projects, where it regularly advises contractors and developers on all legal aspects of large-scale ventures. The firm advised Bridgecorp on its €210m acquisition of Landmark Property Management’s Bulgarian subsidiaries, and handled all aspects of Orchid Development’s €200m construction of Grand Mall Varna. Stoyan Barzakov leads the team.

Boyanov & Co’s team ‘excels’ in real estate, construction and infrastructure transactions, cross-border mandates and real estate-related contentious matters. ‘Highly experienced’ practice head Nickolay Nickolov is advising a major Balkan corporate on the multimillion-euro acquisition of a mall. Iva Miteva, who is ‘sharp and switched-on’, has broad experience in development projects and disputes.

CMS’ ‘proactive’ team is advising a Bulgarian investment group on a major land acquisition around Sofia for the development of a residential project. It also handled the acquisition of a mall for a European real estate investment fund. Darina Baltadjieva and ‘highly experienced’ senior associate Jenia Dimitrova jointly head the practice.

Dimitrov, Petrov & Co’s ‘excellent’ team handles some of the biggest construction and real estate deals and projects on the Bulgarian market. Gugushev & Partners Law Office’s ‘excellent, punctual and professional’ team is led by Petko Angelov. It is advising Bulgaria Development Holdings on the construction and development of the BGN1.6bn Saint Sofia leisure park project.

Jordanov, Ignatov, Ivanov Law Firm has ‘in-depth knowledge of the construction industry’. Ivan Jordanov has ‘an unparalleled understanding of the Bulgarian real estate market’. The team advised Varna Logistics on the financing, construction and development of a €22m distribution warehouse.

Kinstellar’s team ‘comprises brilliant lawyers’. The firm advised GIC as local counsel on its €2.4bn acquisition of P3 Logistic Parks, which included Bulgarian assets. The firm also advises Bulgarian financial institutions on project finance lending. Antonia Mavrova is ‘a great negotiator’. Victor Constantinescu leads the practice.

Murgova & Partners Attorneys at Law has ‘a strong presence on the local legal market’. Highlights included advising Building Express on all legal aspects of a range of residential construction projects. Petya Murgova and Aleksandar Moskov jointly head the team. Alexander Stoimenovproves highly effective and confident on real estate matters’.

At the ‘outstandingSchoenherr (in cooperation with Stoyanov & Tsekova), Alexandra Doytchinova is the ‘mastermind behind a well-oiled team’. The firm advises international corporates on property transactions in Bulgaria. It is advising Sparkassen Immobilien, and its German shareholder, on the multimillion-euro sale of Serdika Mall and the adjoining offices.

Anna Rizova heads Wolf Theiss’ practice, which advises international lenders and borrowers on project financing matters for major Bulgarian real estate projects. It assisted ACC Corporation with the real estate aspects of the €120m refinancing of Business Park Sofia.

Arsov Natchev Ganeva advises Lidl on all construction and real estate matters in Bulgaria and assisted Volvo with all aspects of the construction of a distribution warehouse in Burgas. The firm also advises ICGB on the construction of the Greece-Bulgaria oil and gas pipeline. Marin Arsov and Stoil Hristov are the practice co-heads.

CasePro’s Alexander Andonov is singled out for his ‘excellent negotiation skills and quick wit’. Damyana Lazarova heads the practice, which advises domestic and international corporates on a range of commercial real estate transactions.
