The team at CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz D.O.O. in cooperation with local lawyers is ‘committed, experienced and responsive’ and was involved in several significant projects in 2017. The team advised OTIS Holdings on the establishment of its local subsidiary and is handling due diligence exercises, drafting transaction documents and advising on project structuring pertaining to financing provided by the EBRD to local enterprises and financial institutions. Nedžida Salihović-Whalen leads on commercial and corporate matters and associate Sanja Voloder is ‘astute, hardworking and on the ball.

Local lawyers in cooperation with Karanović & Nikolić, which has offices in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, acts for clients including VTB Bank, Carmeuse Group and United Media. The team is handling Telemach’s acquisition of a local telecoms operator and is advising Zeochem on its entry into the market. Practice head Nihad Sijerčić is arguably ‘one of the best civil lawyers in the country’, and attorney Lana Sarajlić has ‘deep knowledge and good business acumen’.

The ‘very experienced’ team at BDK Advokati in cooperation with Dijana Pejić, attorney-at law has ‘excellent levels of industry knowledge’ and is routinely involved in prominent transactions. Highlights included handling British American Tobacco’s purchase of IP tobacco assets and advising Sinosure on the provision of credit insurance for power station and railway upgrade projects. Serbia-based senior partner Vladimir Dašić and associate Dijana Pejić are noted.

Dimitrijevic & Partners’ team is ‘knowledgeable, practical and client friendly’. Davorin Marinković is ‘responsive and resourceful’, and named partner Stevan Dimitrijević has ‘the ability to think beyond the usual barriers’. Highlights included advising Digital Finance on the regulatory issues concerning its digital technology for personal finances and assisting PepsiCo’s local subsidiary Marbo with regulatory issues and commercial contracts.

Law Office Miljković & Partners’ team has ‘experience in complex matters’ and stands out for its ‘excellent understanding of the energy market’. It recently handled a corporate restructuring for MOL’s local subsidiary and advised INA on the purchase of a majority stake in Energopetrol. Managing partner Sead Miljković has ‘a pragmatic, proactive and creative approach’ and ‘excellent client management skills’ and Amar Bajramović stands out for his ‘excellent negotiation skills and project management expertise’.

Moravcevic Vojnovic and Partners in cooperation with Schoenherr’s team is ‘very responsive and has an understanding of the time pressures in a global transaction’. Recent highlights include advising on Kansai Paint’s purchase of Helios Coatings Group and assisting Greiner Group with the acquisition of shares in Cartrim Aircraft. Office head Matija Vojnović is ‘an excellent regional lawyer with strong legal knowledge and valuable experience’ and Luka Lopičić is also noted.

Law firm Sajic’s corporate and commercial offering is headed by Nataša Krejić, who recently assisted NCR Corporation with establishing companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and worked with LG Electronics on the rights of ecology and consumer protection concerning distribution of the client’s products. Managing partner Aleksandar Sajić and Sanja Đukić are the names to note. Alternativna Televizija and Fabrika Duvana are other key clients.

Wolf Theiss - in cooperation with local lawyers assisted a consortium consisting of Advent International, Bain Capital Europe and Clessidra SGR with the acquisition of Setefi’s card processing business and advised a retail client on a franchise agreement with a Bosnian retail company. Naida Čustović leads the team.

B&B Legal’s ‘effective and well-organised’ team ‘excels in corporate and commercial law’. Banja Luka office head Predrag Baroš is ‘an expert’ and head of the Sarajevo office Nenad Baroš ‘always provides solutions for even the most demanding problems’.

Marić & Co Law Firm’s Sarajevo-based team is headed by Dijana Ivanović, with Bojana Bošnjak-London a key figure. The team acts for a number of high-profile local and international clients, including Coca-Cola, Sony, Heineken and Volvo.

Law Office Mirna Milanović-Lalić handles transactional matters for clients from a wide range of sectors. The team advised a local transportation company on the asset deal sale of its industrial facility and assisted the buyer with the acquisition of a shopping centre. Named partner Mirna Milanović-Lalić and Jasmina Suljović are the key figures.
