Author 'Media Relations for Lawyers' (Law Society 1994, reprinted/updated 2003). Currently on the boards of: The Media Standards Trust, the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, the Spare Tyre Theatre Company, and Brighton Festival & Dome. Until recently was on the board of Dignity in Dying, the Countryside Agency, the development board of the Royal Court Theatre and others. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts; member of the Law Society, Justice, International Forum, IBA and a number of other organisations.

Leisure:
Theatre, fast cars, the arts, pro bono work on miscarriages of justice (advised Sally Clark), member of a number of arts-related clubs, drove an endurance rally though India in October 2008 in a 1940s-style car for two childrens' charities.
